Can I ask you to find a photo of another real real oldie I used to love playing? Super low tech white characters on gray screen. It was called Death Race and you had to run over all the pedestrians running around and when you hit them it turned into a little grave mound. You could have 4 players

Sweet and delicious

To the left of Q Bert is Dig Dug, the glare off the glass makes a little difficult. And Frogger to left of Dig Dug.

I must have played a newer version of this game of the 70s or 80s vintage. It's hard to see in photos but you could hit ball up and into the stands for home run if you timed the swing just right. You also had 3 pitch options to come at you: straight, curve, and slider. I hit best on slider.

I have a request: do you remember the pinball Hercules which was a ginormous machine that had a cue-ball-like ball for play. May we see a photo and/or play report?

Do you have any photos of the earlier Star Wars pinball machine?

As I remember it the early Gottlieb flippers were not the greatest in hitting the ball back up the board. A little lacking in force and I recall a fellow pinball player in the mall arcade making the remark they were p""" poor.

Let me ask a pinball trivia question of the viewers! Pinball machines often had bumpers and other options that would only activate for high scoring players. Two were Extra Ball (lit orange) and Special (lit red). Extra Ball is explains itself. Who remembers what Special would get you? Ding! POP!

I played both eight ball deluxe and eight ball extensively back I the day at the time of eight ball, Happy Days was popular on TV and many players thought the character painted on the back glass was supposed to represent The Fonz from the show. Fun trivia.

OMG you found a Namco Pole Position. That game would have long lines of people with a pocket of quarters waiting to play in the mall arcades! For its day one of the better made games.

I love arcades and the smaller ones like above. I grew up in them in the shopping mall years before people gamed at home. I see original Defender which was popular then. You brought your roll of quarters to play!

Would love to have one of the old original machines. I grew up in the mall arcade where you brought a roll of quarters to wait to play your favourites.
