What I find extraordinary about this story is that it just refuses to go away (which is really good news.)

But what is the *really* bad secret at its core?

Is there another shocking layer or two, to this vile business?

Well that’s good to know, the next time I’m stuck late on a Sunday night and need to pay someone half a billion dollars …

I’ve always found it odd that the American system has rules built into it that let the government shutdown.

It does seem a rather clumsy way to run the country as it seems to invite ‘pushing the can down the road’ every year.

Other countries can agree budgets or force elections if they can’t.

And this ladies and gentlemen *could* be our future, if we are allowed to be swayed by these wannabe Trump fascists.

The joy of seeing someone realise they are so unable to do their job.

Unfortunately it’s a teeny tiny bit important *someone* is really good at his job.

But’s it’s never gonna be little Sean.

And if the BBC settles his threatened $1 Billion lawsuit, (or indeed any amount) that’s the last licence fee I will be paying.

It’s about time.

We cannot trust the US anymore and the UK and Commonwealth countries do not want to be complicit in these murders on the high seas.

In fact I think the US should be excluded from the Five Eyes security group.

It is without doubt an attempt to overthrow the BBC’s importance in the news market and as discussed in the podcast, the BBC’s website.

The BBC’s independence and trust is huge and must be preserved.

Everyone who cares about ‘your BBC’ should watch Emily, Jon and Lewis discuss this serious issue.

A fantastic site gets even better.

Incidentally on this map, if you scroll back to the year 1750, only the UK is creating CO2 with a small amount in Australia, (for our penal colony)

Not a great look!

Or is he simply lying?

Says the billionaire president talking to the millionaire television presenter.

Who are they kidding? Who are they talking to?

The elderly Fox audience who may have children on SNAP?

This is obscene.

A total farce.

What exactly do these people think about moments like this, at the end of each day?

Do they actually feel good about themselves acting so subservient and obsequious?

And do any of them worry, ‘we had better get re-elected in three years or we’re totally screwed’?

Oh dear, final proof I am very, very old.

What is exactly funny?

Never mind it’s me, I’m old.
(I’m a lumberjack and I'm OK
I sleep all night and I work all day
He's a lumberjack and he's OK
He sleeps all night and he works all day
I cut down trees, I eat my lunch
I go to the lavatory

Mike Johnson on the Republican healthcare plan: "We've got lots of blank notebooks."
November 10, 2025 at 9:43 PM
Well I didn’t see that.

Excellent news.

(But I still don’t understand why your Supreme Court revisits settled cases.)

So not a real critic then, because every restaurant will recognise him.

MARIA: “What will you do when the ACA subsidies expire (and health insurance premiums skyrocket)?”

DR. OZ: “I haven’t a clue … “

I’ve seen each one come and go, having been a telly viewer since the 1950’s …

But it seems the BBC is usually accused being too critical of the government of the day, regardless of party. Although the right has always shouted the loudest.

It’s almost identical to what happened just over 50 years ago.

Except the words were written on my school’s toilet wall, the staff reported it to the headmaster who found out the kids responsible and dealt with the matter.

Only now these scum are encouraged to write on everyone’s ‘wall’ at once.
November 10, 2025 at 8:06 AM
For goodness sake, what does take to break their ‘Safety Policies’?

You can’t be much more offensive, racist and misogynistic in one tweet than this. I presume you have to issue specific threats.

It is appalling that Musk allows comments like this and then says we are a country on the brink.
November 10, 2025 at 8:06 AM
It has a chilling similarity to the ABC and CBS settlements of caving in when there was nothing wrong.
November 9, 2025 at 7:58 PM
It doesn’t make any sense.

Apart from the cruelty that seems baked into anything this regime is doing, what do they think will be the result?

A lot of angry folks of both parties and those that voted red and those that didn’t vote at all are surely going to vote blue next year.
November 9, 2025 at 7:54 PM
It is ridiculous for Tim Davie and Deborah Turness to resign over a single edit in a year old documentary.

There’s obviously been serious pressure applied from outside the BBC and has a chilling resemblance to the CBS and ABC settlements.

The UK cannot let itself be threatened by the Trump regime.

Congress has the power of the purse. A tariff is revenue generating and is only allowed to be set by congress.

That’s it, the president cannot set tariffs and hopefully the Supreme Court confirms this.
