Just some furry trash. Usually a rat these days, sometimes a squirrel. Probably more widely known as an old roo called Joey Rufus. I like coffee, sci-fi, and mid century modern design.
If you follow me, and I don't know you, don't expect me to follow you.
I really hate all the clickbait titles and thumbnails on youtube, especially ones that are just strait telling lies. Kate Mulgrew and Robert Beltran are both still alive. Facts can be easily verified, and lies can usually be easily disproven.

Old shed in the back yard is finally getting torn down. Been there longer than I've been alive. Pretty sure it used to be a chicken coop.

Where were you in the summer of 2015?

I have bought two of these damned things and neither has worked. Was just the driver window switch that didn't work, now none of them work. Worse, messing with them I managed to roll the driverwindow down a 4th of the way, but I can't roll it back up.

I ordered two 12 oz bags of my favorite coffee a couple weeks ago. I checked the email receipt, and they only charged me for two bags, but they sent me 20 bags. Far as I've been able to find on google, I'm under no legal responsibility to return the extra.

Today in 1972, the first episode of M.A.S.H aired on CBS. 52 years later, it's still a show I can watch almost any episode of any time. Of course I've been watching reruns of it since I was too young to understand all the jokes.

I'm not up on a lot of things in this world, especially sports and athletes, but is Shaquille O'Neal still rellivent enough to have his own candy?

Got my multimeter back from the person that borrowed it a couple weeks ago, but I believe the probe used to be the same length. Not even the 3rd time they've damaged something they borrowed, and I only got it back because they asked me to come over to help fix their computer.

So, aside from the threat of Romulans, Cardasians, Renegade Klingons, Borg Assimulation, Evil Admirals, Cosmic Strings, The crew all being gender swapped or turned into mice by a space annomoly the ship flew through, and Q shinanigans,

The Amazon Basics batteries that came in this Amazon Basics wireless mouse just died, only 8 days short of a full year since I got it. Dunno if the mouse is that energy efficient, or if the batteries were just that good.

Fuck, I had to put the old broken module back in for now. Thought about just leaving the green plug unplugged, since it goes to the seat heater controls and my seat heater has never worked anyway, BUUUT with green plug not plugged, I can't unlock my door with the remote keyfob. WTF?
August 5, 2025 at 8:44 PM
Why is it always like this? 5 connectors, and they all fit the new module perfectly, except for the green one. Been fighting the green one for 30 minutes.

Another partial skein added to the yarn ball. These posts are going to be coming every once in a while for a long time.

If you do this to your extension cords, you're wrong. If you do this to other people's extension cords, you're a goddamned monster. No one can convince me otherwise. I will die on this hill.

It's pretty bad. Used to be considered terminal. Survival rate is still low, but treatments have improved. I was diagnosed with it in December of 2014. I'm still here, mostly okay, and probably cancer free today.

I added two more partial skeins.

Mother used to Crochet. She'd start things and then drop them, so she left behind a LOT of yarn. At least 6 full and partial skeins in the house, and another couple dozen in storage. Was going to just get rid of it all, but decided to roll it into a ball instead. The gray ball is from 1/3rd a skein.

Good to see Howard the Duck is still getting work.

Passed this house on my way to and from the store today. In this small town, I don't know which is more believable. That the cops burned someone out of their house, or that someone with an undiagnosed / untreated mental illness blames them for some very bad luck.

Unless I order a cup while at a restaurant, which I don't get out to eat very often, I only drink coffee 3 days a week. Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's a treat, and I look forward to each of those days.

After seeing the Paul Reubens documentary Pee-Wee as Himself recently, I decided to look through storage today, to see if my old Pee-Wee doll was still around. Fortunately, Mother was a hoarder. One of the few times I can't complain about that.

I didn't "need" a tea organizer, but I got one early last month, and I do not regret it.

There's something odd about this piece of cake.
