They're like new literary versions of what happened in the movie Creed 2. The protagonist becomes such an insufferable annoyance the story becomes hard to enjoy.
Rin from Poppy Wars and Alex Stern may be the two most annoying characters I can think of.

Currently having a big media consumption week, I finished 3 books since sunday, watched 4 movies in the past 48 hrs, just started reading "A Ladder to the Sky" by John Boyne yesterday and listening to The Fellowship of the Ring read by Andy Serkis while at work. 😤😤😤

This was not fair to the game 100%, I love the gameplay engine and with a few improvements this can be a vastly improved FC to the previous models. But freezing in the first FUT menu I open is still shit.
I've only played FC26 for 5 minutes and it froze on an Ultimate Team menu already

Way too many people on the roads driving trucks they are way too uncomfortable driving, it you can't master driving a specific vehicle you shouldn't be licensed to drive one.
