Soundfont musician making music on YouTube. I enjoy talking about video games, tech, music, anime, and several other things. Beware the odd vent/"out there" post. Not accepting any offers at this time.
There's one I saw by Nintendo Life where they gave it an 8.

Currently this week I think I may buy Yakuza Kiwami 2 and then by next week I should be a bit around a certain goal I've been working my way up to.
Afterwards, who knows? But then we'll be getting very close to Christmas.

So I really don't know what it was about the second direct that swayed a lot of people.
So basically, probably not, especially if it's over $70 US, which usually adds up to about $100 Canadian or more.
I spend a lot on a recent vacation to visit family, so I'm trying to buy cheap games for a bit.

It comes out this weekend?
Wow, time flies.
I still haven't tuned into the second direct that seemed to sway a lot of people. Over 1 hour usually feels to me like a lot to ask for sitting through a single video, and I already had a hard time sticking with the first direct.

That's the one slight area where I maybe disagree.
Most everything else he said, though, I do agree with.

Also the price has to be consumer-friendly or at bare minimum within an acceptable ballpark.

I /could/ potentially see myself buying a Steam Machine if I get a good chance, but again, I need to say way more about that thing to be sure.

Gaming is supposed to be a hobby, and it's supposed to be fun.
Whatever way you choose to approach gaming that brings you joy, that's perfectly valid.
Just don't be a knob about your particular way.

And if you can't afford a PS5, Series S/X, Steam Deck, Switch 2, whatever,
that's fine.
Play the games that bring you joy.
Conversely, if you can afford one or all or a mix of those systems, and you love them,
that's fine too.
Don't let random internet users dictate your joy.

I like blue a lot for the calming effect it's said to have on the mind. Staying calm is something I strive for these days.

One last point,
It's not "NEET" status either as I do have extra education.
I got a whole degree in recreation & leisure in post-secondary.
But recent events in my life (and also on the world stage) have left me less of the opinion that it's truly the right path for me.
November 15, 2025 at 11:14 PM
And that can often be fine, I'm more than capable of enjoying my own company,
but it doesn't leave a lot of room for meeting new people.
So that's my struggle with dating. I hope I explained it well and that it all makes sense.
November 15, 2025 at 11:10 PM
It's not full-on NEET or Hikkikomori, as I do have a job and I do socialize with both family and my friends at my job.
But most other times, I'm by myself save for the odd support worker visit.
November 15, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Conversely,
I have grown more and more untrusting of the average internet user over time, and certain events that occured this year have only made me even less trusting of said average internet users.
November 15, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Sadly as one of my main and/or only avenues for meeting people in person, finding a potential partner that way can often be a bit tough.
Especially since I am one of the older workers in my section.
November 15, 2025 at 11:10 PM
As a result, I'm often by myself a lot of the time, and yet there's this unwillingness to go out and meet people among me, as well.
This is a big part of why I enjoy my job. I have a large circle of friends there who support me, and it's a good place for me to meet people.
