Been awhile since I’ve played. Still holds up. A push your luck card game. Saw some 4 color and a 5 color ship draws! It’s always exciting + tense no matter whose turn it is. Busting happens often so it never feels bad. I enjoyed the OG art but the BB version has nice art as well.

Create the best rainforest by drafting trees, flora, and fauna. Faunas give special abilities while trees and flora are where most of your points will come from. Draft system is same as in Sea of Clouds. Look at cards in stack 1—keep or return. If return, look at stack 2, etc. Lovely!

3R. 4 actions each R. Draft + place a die to chain combos. Super satisfying turns. Matcha adds a new resource and dice placement locations. Move geisha around to earn you more cards for your lantern bonuses as well as extra end game VP multipliers. Daimyo tokens are key!

A race to 5vps that always comes down to the wire. Simple yet elegant gameplay. Draft a tile. Place it. Do 1 of 4 actions. Possibly do a bonus action. Repeat. Combat is as simple as can be and doesn’t feel bad even if you lose. Buildings + Titans give you interesting powers. A nice game!

A great reskin/reimplementation of sorts of 7 Wonders: Duel. It’s a little bit more of a streamlined version of the base game while taking some ideas from both Pantheon and Agora and coating it all with amazing Vincent Dutrait art. Quick, smooth, and fun!

Pick up junk and deliver to Earth, the moon, and Mars. Launch junk from your ship in one direction and move in the opposite direction. Junk can be delivered remotely via launching to the destination or directly by landing in the location. Light w/ quick decisions and has fun movement.

Ladder climbing card game. Cards numbered 1-15 with 4 suits/ranks and 5 special cards. Each round you draft a special scoring condition card that only applies to you. For example: “runs must end in odd” or “pairs and triples must have a red card” etc.

Run a Portuguese fish canning factory. Each round: ❶ Bid on turn order w/the # of actions you want in the round—fewer actions = earlier in turn order. ❷ Draft cards. ❸ Produce and sell goods. Produce goods w/cards in factory from left to right. Sell to market cards. ❹ Claim scoring cards.

Tile-laying game w/ an interesting decision of when to activate events to gain $ and/or VPs. On your turn, you’re generally buying suburb tiles and polyominoes (which go on top of the suburb tiles) to add to your neighborhood or you’re activating an event to earn $/VPs/bonuses.
