I'm proud to say I've seen both "It" movies.
I'm ashamed to admit I still haven't seen "Them!"

I think they worked around the Hayes Code rather well.

That's a great question on the behind the scenes stuff. No idea. Imo she was good in several movies after 1930 up through her untimely death.
"Missouri Girl" is about a woman unwilling to trade sex for status while the men around her assume she does.

One Battle: 👍best movie of the year for me so far
House of Dynamite: 👎excellent production misses the audience with the message
Destroy Monsters: 👎as classic as this is, the nutso "Ebirah" is superior
Girl from Missouri: 👍Harlow is perfect as tough luck girl with principles

A professor once told me he thought he might be too easy because test scores were high. Reality: he actually taught well then fairly tested what he taught. I was impressed with him.
That sounds kinda like what you heard, too.

Well at least they're consistent

I like it because I love Roddy McDowell and was interested in the golem story. Tbh that means I liked it in spite of itself.

Ebirah is a big-ass lobster, and the setup for the human element sounds like something written by a caffeinated 12-year-old. Highly recommend.

That's high praise cause IMO "The Naked Spur" is pretty good!
