I miss Madden on the PC.i was commish of my fantasy football league back then and I made custom uniforms for all the teams and would load the rosters, play a few plays, take screenshots of the players in the made up uniforms and send an email on Tuesdays with those pics to everyone in the league

Lol also if you keep up with the bass you also will have no shortage of bands to play in. Guitar players are dime a dozen but bassists are always in demand!

It's all in the setup of the instrument. A lot of beginner basses may not have their intonation set correctly so better strings won't make any difference. You could bring it to a local music store and ask for them to set it up 1st. They will adjust things like string action so it plays better.

Krukow was more deserving than DeJesus and this certainly led me to realize how awful the 81 Cubs were. DeJesus had a -1.3 war and that wasn't even the worst on that club. That "honor" belongs to Scot Thompson at -2.3 in only 115 at bats!

I think it's just back then there were a ton of slick fielders who couldn't hit a lick. I know I didn't think it was that strange to see Ivan on a DK in 1982 but in hindsight it seems weird.

Donruss picked players strangely, (this post is sending me down a DK wormhole BTW lol) they picked Ivan dejesus for the 82 DK and he had a -1.3 war from hitting .194. those Cubs weren't good but why not pick Buckner, Durham,Steve Henderson Krukow or Reuschel, heck Doug Bird even!

Don Baylor should've been a DK

A bit of serendipity with my timeline this morning as the post below yours is of Craig Skok's only Topps card as noted by your post.

I have 4 basses I rotate through, 2 with flats and 2 with rounds. It depends on acoustics at the clubs as to which I end up playing

I grew up in Pawtucket and saw him play many times in person. He had the unfortunate luck to play catcher at a time when the Red Sox kept the owner's son on the team as their backup. Was nice to see him finally get a fair shot later on in his career.

Their normal uniforms are not much better honestly. Pat Patriot is where it's at

My old band in RI used to play gigs at an old converted roller rink. The former Bobby's Rollaway in Pawtucket RI. Oh and also this Jerry show has a sweet setlist.
