We are recruiting! 20 Stories High are looking for new Artistic Leadership After 20 years of hard work and success, co-founder Keith Saha will be stepping down in 2026 to pursue making new kinds of theatre with and for adult audiences. 20 Stories High is now entering a new era and inviting fresh artistic leadership to help shape our next chapter. We are looking for artistic leadership to work alongside our Co-CEO/Executive Director that can drive the company forward with ambitious, excellent and equitable theatre and art for culturally diverse and working-class young people and young adults. We’re not prescribing a job title or specific structure for the role. Instead, we are sharing the personal and professional key essentials for the job, and inviting you to bring your own vision of artistic leadership to the table. What matters most is that you are aligned with our values, committed to co-creation with young people and communities, and ready to lead with creativity, integrity, and care. Our current programme takes us into 2026, and beyond that we have so many discoveries to make. We had a boss time with Unity Youth Club in L8 sharing one of our touring "Mini Gigs" 🙌

Man like Mally and Faye Donna Francis delivered a banging set which was followed by an open mic with eastern European rap, folk tunes and classics from Adele and Frozen.

Last week, our Changemakers had their first session!

Changemakers is a yearlong development programme for young leaders. During our first session, we got to know each other, explored different roles and shared the causes we’re passionate about.

Today we had a BOSS session with the amazing Anna Herrmann, the Artistic Director at @cleanbrk.bsky.social Theatre Company.

We heard all about their work and approach for working in settings linked to prisons and probations and how this can influence our work at 20 Stories High. Thank you!

Last night's Actor's Lab session was led by the amazing Sofia Jones, exploring using the voice from different parts of the body, grounding techniques and text work.

We collaborate with culturally diverse, working-class young people as artistic equals to make exceptional, relevant and political theatre that allows their voices to be heard, their talent to shine – and make the world a better place at the same time. Our Youth Theatre and other national participatory activities provide free-to-all weekly sessions for over 4000+ young people from across Merseyside in need of support and opportunities. “Five and a half years ago, I joined 20 Stories High as a naive and insecure teenager. I leave as an adult with a heart for writing, a love of singing and acting, and a belief that my voice is important.
