The thing is this is something that will happen when we inevitably start pushing Brexit back further, Johnson, Moylan, Hannan, Farage etc... will all start stirring the pot to the point of encouraging violence. They'll probably flee the country so they can't be arrested mind

The issue there is that the same thing applies how many men are willing to go down with them if and hopefully when the writing is on the wall? The Russian system is almost by it's very nature treatrous he's more likely to be assassinated by his own guards etc

If I remember my WW1 history the Germans managed to breach the allied lines but due to extremely heavy casualties they had to fall back. Economic and social problems in Germany as well as fatigue broke them. Russia has already suffered more casualties than America did in WW2 so anything is possible

I don't get how she can be this out of touch. This is an incredibly good and necessary idea from labour. Her "suggestions" are deliberate scapegoating of a serious problem. The current issues are not restricted to certain cultures or groups of people
December 19, 2025 at 7:07 AM
It's an extremely difficult situation where every world government is playing for time. Starmer and others are having to play a very dangerous game but it's all they and we have
December 18, 2025 at 8:31 PM
It is incredibly toxic to put it mildly. Politicians and the media have scapegoated them for their own failures and said they are a drain on society. And confused the situation between immigrants with asylum seekers so much that too many don't know the difference
December 18, 2025 at 9:38 AM
While this is a very good move I fear it won't last. Too many people who want to improve UK EU relations or even to rejoin are looking to mess it up. Too many want to rush showing a fundamental misunderstanding of the situation
December 18, 2025 at 7:00 AM
And? Brexiteers then proceeded to act stupidly where they caused extreme amounts of damage because of their impatience. If we show a similar level of impatient behaviour like them we could very easily fail
December 18, 2025 at 6:42 AM
This just goes to show just how deranged Trump is. It's another example anyway. Sadly I see it as extremely likely that he will make a move soon
December 17, 2025 at 9:56 PM
You are correct yes. Now as for why he thinks this shouldn't be the case when directed at some else the answer is bad. Because these people were not British or friendly in his terms he sees them as being lesser than himself. Would he care if they'd been killed? I don't know but I don't think so

The issue of bringing prices down will be an issue that requires direct intervention in the market not just in improving trading conditions. You'd have to make companies drop prices
December 17, 2025 at 4:15 PM
It is troubling how he and so many others think that these types of tweets etc.. are acceptable. Threatening directly to cause extreme criminal damage and kill people isn't violent enough I guess. And they wonder why we call them extremists and fascists
December 17, 2025 at 4:14 PM
We do need to rejoin but if we try to go too fast we'll fail badly. We will likely only get one chance to get this right and trying to rush it will only see it fail. The entire process from having another referendum and making sure people are actually more aware can't be done quickly
December 17, 2025 at 1:02 PM
It is extremely irrational to suggest it given the timescale required. And frankly I'm tired of those who want to rejoin suggesting it and likely making sure it doesn't happen at all.
December 17, 2025 at 7:56 AM
A poor phrase to mask a poor argument. People like you and others will be the death of any attempt to rejoin. You are irrational in your desire to rejoin as soon as possible just like brexiteers who wanted to leave as soon as possible. Your lack of patience is disturbing
December 16, 2025 at 10:10 PM
No it won't be, things will certainly be different as the EU has changed as have we. But it will be an improvement
December 16, 2025 at 10:01 PM
No it is practical. Too many people who want to rejoin have turned into mirror images of brexiteers. Always in a hurry, over ambitious, lacking in realism and always in a hurry. It's a poor attitude that will see any hope of rejoining the EU die
December 16, 2025 at 9:59 PM
That will take time to achieve that and we will have to take various steps to get there. The possibility of us going from where we are now to rejoining is unlikely
December 16, 2025 at 8:41 PM
That is the problem sadly that these deals aren't worth the paper they're written on but as you've said countries don't have the choice but to pursue them. He's destroying America's credibility because countries won't trust it no matter who's in office
December 16, 2025 at 9:26 AM
How far has society fallen that he felt he was ok to post this. But also the likely fact that few in the GOP will complain. This should see serious consequences but it won't. So it says alot about people in general
December 15, 2025 at 9:37 PM
There are many many things needed on local and national levels. Sadly one of labours major failings has been a lack of joined up thinking on the subject. We need short medium and long term plans
December 15, 2025 at 7:09 PM
The difficult question though is? Is this a permanent change in American policy? From friendly to adversarial? Are the democrats on board? Will the future republican party be on board? Too many questions rest on whether America actually gets rational again
December 15, 2025 at 7:07 PM
The worst part though despite his ridiculous statement it won't hurt him like it should.
December 15, 2025 at 6:03 PM
That's an understatement. How can a country tolerate this sort of violence and do nothing about it. And how can they vote for a leader who does not care one way or another. And how many have to die before they actually do something
