mad reading this case report from the high court in march, a landowner appealing planning permission against nenagh golf course. he used chatGPT (or something similar) to form his submission and it ended up producing what reads as legal sounding nonsense

had read bits of this before that were in the Dublin Review, but altogether it does some formal things i really enjoyed. a gorgeous creeping scale, going from pinprick focus on interiorty and growing to take in the whole world. hopeful and generous.

yeah i read it after it won the Dublin Lit Prize, which is NOT a crime. great, very "back then people just fucking died". the accordianing of time is really effectively done too. during the award ceremony live stream i was trying to get the otherwise silent chat to pop off (medium success)
