Picked up this hot sauce from Barcelona in Deptford yesterday. Really unusual depth of flavour with squid ink a key ingredient. Had it with fish fingers and mushroom paella and it went very well. Probably more suited to seafood than chicken, but I’d have it with both. Highly recommended!

Granada is a great city aside from the Alhambra too. Great colours, so much interesting history to explore, fantastic and generous food and nice people. It’s a city with a lot more to offer than its tourist attractions. I hope to explore the wider region in the coming years.

Thrilled to have finally ticked the Alhambra off the bucket list. Photos don’t fully grasp what it feels like to be here.

Maybe this is the book you’re looking for? A history of the world written like a young adult novel. He also has one on the history of art. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_G...

Reminded of the ice cold revenge Celtic dealt Lazio - after their fans had marched and performed sieg heils through Glasgow earlier that day - by both beating them and making some of the best banners I’ve ever seen.

She speaks of the terrible burden of learning you will get Huntington’s Disease and then segues directly to this. If you think these two things are in any way equivalent then you’re a fucking clown.

While Disabled Student’s Allowance hasn’t always been perfect, by coming under the education rather than DWP umbrella it avoided the worst of the cuts through the Tory austerity years. However, I’m concerned that the increased participation DSA enabled is now under serious threat.

In my experience, many people seek ‘MH diagnoses’, not because they seek benefits per se, but because they they are ambitious about leading fulfilling and independent lives. The British state is pretty terrible at enabling people to do this, so people resort to whatever levers are available to them.

Extremely disappointing to read this in the Observer, part of a trend of casting aspersions on ADHD diagnoses and chronic fatigue. In the UK, ADHD is under-diagnosed, NOT over-diagnosed. You could just criticise the individualisation of conditions instead of this crank, punching down bullshit.

Bindel probably was originally left-wing, but you can’t still call yourself that when you’re writing stuff like this in the Telegraph.

On reflection, it was a mistake to promote the guy who thought this was a yellow card, and subsequently botched the final of a World Cup.

Samyang Buldak Spicy Chicken Carbonara dumplings are a pleasant surprise, though quite different from the noodles, which I also love. Mostly filled with cabbage and tofu which gives it a familiar texture and not that different from most other jiaozi, besides the aftertaste.

I built this in lockdown and it was probably the most fun I had building a Lego set. Varied building techniques. Really cool cyberpunk theme.

Disabled toilets in Madrid airport have an extra stoma toilet in the disabled toilet. Only time I’ve seen this, including in hospital gastro wards.

Dark and cold Novembers call for desperate measures. Pictures are before and after of fabada, an Asturian stew made with fabes beans, pancetta, chorizo, morcilla, onion, garlic and water.
