Also I wrote a paper in grad school about Sukeban Deka and Showa idol culture, but now that I've watched more of the series I wanna take another crack at it because I have a whole different perspective.

I came back to my post about Slam Dunk having likes and stuff, am I being perceived for realsies? Is this my chance to go on an unhinged rant about just how many manga I've stumbled into that have mourning themes by absolute accident?

Honestly, academia's been hard because I just feel like an island with my interest/approaches, my mental health as been whittled away, and I just can't find the time outside of Being a Human obligations to sit down and do anything.

On another note related to that - I kind of want to write about the First Slam Dunk because it hit a lot of the same notes I talked about in previously mentioned thesis about Touch.

Mechademia is apparently going to do an issue about death in Winter 2025. Will this finally be a chance for me to publish part of my masters thesis?
