I know the time is nigh approaching for my Xbox X|S... when more than half the triple-A games on Steam sale, aren't even listed on the Xbox store.

Strange Attractors | Shashank Tomar
A visualisation of Strange Attractors using a Threejs particle system. In this post, I will try to explain the basics of dynamical systems, chaos theory, attractors and the butterfly effect.

I wonder how Bethesda feels about NoMansSky eating their starship lunch. All my 10yo creativity to the Interloper.

I think I better understand LLMs. First built on content and culture, then code; they are greater than the sum of the parts fed into it, yes... but they're the reflections of the understandings processed into topology, even at feed-forward stage.

Gradient descent enabled landscaping. Attention is.

That moment when you pinpoint the cause of a pattern, and for once, its not you. By you, I mean me.

A SQL query walks into a bar, walks up to two tables and asks: “Can I join you?”

I hate that Cursor the IDE is name squatting on one of the more powerful descriptors of a mental construct for following a place in the code, the cursor. Give it back.

A word to the major LLM makers...

If you're going to shove ads into the product, do it well, do what ads were initially for (product/market discovery + feedback).

If you do it in imitation of current ads, you will destroy your product.

We already hate ads. Imagine if we bring that hate to you.

A programmer's spouse says "While you're out, buy some milk." They never return.

A programmer walks into a bar. Orders a beer. Then calls himself and walks into a bar. Orders a beer. Then calls himself and walks into a bar. The bartender eventually just implements a base case and cuts him off.

Why do programmers prefer dark mode? Because light attracts bugs.

Cursor IDE needs to take a page from Claude Code: Don't change your UI/UX. Its infuriating. Changing it every version patch is worse.
I've learned to expect your product to degrade, and I no longer use it personally as a result.

My latest LLM "advance" is having it scream positivity into the void (while i scream), so we can show up with game face on (before i delete all its contributions and start from scratch).

I'm reaching the point where I see LLM use as a malediction, rather than a tool. If I offload my detailed code thinking to what amounts to a 3d-printer for code, then i'll get low resolution and weirdly stood-up code.

Time to remember what its like to be the seasoned coder, without power tools.

Watching and Blocking is very cathartic.

Recently with claude code, blocking `statsig.anthropic` and watching it go off like a livewire+snake in my network monitor.

You dont get to watch me as a loophole to your privacy policy.
