#NDP supporter. #CDNPOLI enthusiast.
Sadly, the idiot probably doesn't care. He should! But he likely won't.

I think he wants to do as much damage as he can between now and the mid-term elections.

They always have regardless of who is the leader of the #NDP.

It is time for the NDP to show #Canadians what happens when the party lets the #Liberals & #Conservatives run amok with our institutes.

Why should the fourth party always take the blame from voters over other parties' failures?

Don't take me for an idiot.

The Prime Minister was not trying to bring in mixed member proportional representation, he was bringing in ranked ballots.

And don't send me idiotic videos labelling Jagmeet Singh a conservative when he is anything but. This is the reason Liberals tank in polls at times

Fun fact: Justin Trudeau blocked me on Twitter during the 2014-2015 year for calling the party out knowing damn well they would not deliver on reasonable electoral reform. Heck, even Fair Vote blocked me. I was right all along.

Liberals their supporters continue to show their biases when speaking on electoral reform. #Trudeau promised it over 1,800 times, but failed to mention once that he'd only support reform if it was ranked ballot and it benefitted the #Liberals. I wasn't fooled, but millions of Canadians were.

Seems to work in plenty of nations. I'll also add that it is better than both ranked ballots and first past the post.

Uhm, lastly, have you not noticed how parties run things now? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

Your user name explains your message easily to me. 🤣

If underrepresentation is not a bad thing, why are Liberals going on and on about "splitting the left," "strategic voting" etc...? Live with your underrepresentation & be quiet for four years. Oh right, it's different when it affects Liberals 🤦🏻‍♂️

You're welcome. There is more power in individuals having a choice rather than not having a choice. There are fundamental differences between the Liberals, NDP, and the Greens. The solution is an electoral system which allows every vote to count.
March 1, 2025 at 2:56 AM
They did that in 2015 at the federal level... The Liberals walked away from the deal. This goes to the core of the problem, Liberals running away from progress once elected.

I laugh at posts like these.

We had a chance federally to adopt a mixed member proportional system and Liberals killed it. There will never be a merger. All three parties exist for a reason. Fight for electoral reform. I can't keep having this conversation 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣
March 1, 2025 at 1:08 AM
No they don't.

1) The electorate needs to show up and vote
2) Mixed Member Proportional Representation needs to be adopted.
March 1, 2025 at 1:05 AM
The Liberals lost because they couldn't convince the electorate to vote. Additionally, Liberals and Conservatives have shared a pool of voters. Lastly, when #Liberal voters are disatisfied, they generally stay home. They'd rather not vote than vote NDP. That, is a problem and why we got Ford again.

Why would the NDP ever be done? First of all, it's truly the only party ever fighting for public healthcare and despite what the majority of Canadians believe, it is one of the few parties that supports workers. Why would anyone want that to be "done?" is beyond me.
March 1, 2025 at 12:08 AM
They think they are, but they are not, lol. It has been passed down through generations and explains the current state of affairs our country is in.
March 1, 2025 at 12:06 AM
Ranked ballot is almost as bad as first past the post. What is wrong with just literally having seats allocated 100% based on share of the vote. NDP and the Greens are the most underrepresented parties in history, due to first past the post. Ranked ballots would still result in underrepresentation.
