Soap doesn't have any of the proper supplies, and after a month of borrowing Ghost's gear, Ghost takes Soap shopping for ballet flats, tights, and an undershirt. Ghost certainly does it only to be a good friend and NOT because he gets a wonderful view of Soap's body as he tries on clothes.

this might feel out of left field but you could try The Martian by Andy Wier. I loved that book a lot, and it reminds me of Piranesi and Circe- I think because all 3 books involve a character that operates in their own little world cut off from almost everyone else.
