He was clever, kind and handsome. My mom didn’t have a chance. He died before I was out of school. Before I had a chance to really know him. I miss him every day. #thankyouforyourservice

My father lied about his age and enlisted at 16. He started as a glider paratrooper and joined Special Forces in the early 50’s. He spent 25 years proudly serving his country. I cobbled this together from an old picture of him in Korea. It’s still one of my favorites. Thank you to all who served.
