This is Coe Fen in Cambridge, a watercolour drawing from 1998. The tower in the middle distance is the Pitt Building and the other tower is the United Reform Church. This was done on the spot with watercolour and Indian ink.

🩵I always think art is such a powerful outlet. Rather its photography, sketching, painting, writing-ect. What matters is you are creating or capturing something only you can. It doesn’t matter if its good or bad. Just as long as you enjoy it🩵

The alarming trend I'm seeing in 2025 is that companies are quietly laying off employees and replacing their positions with AI.

This means that even if the economy improves, those jobs are not coming back.

So where will these people work? What will this do to our economy?

If you live in or you know anyone in Tennessee’s 7th district, TODAY is the LAST day to vote early.

And tell everyone you know who hasn’t voted that it is all about turnout next Tuesday. We need as many people showing up to the polls. We can do this.

A quite large oil on canvas portrait of Lorna from 1991. This one is stored away rolled up with other canvases but I just spotted a photo of it on my camera rolll. She was a frequent and very patient sitter for portraits when she lived nearby and has several of them (more available!)

Recomendable si gustan los thrillers emocionales y psicológicos. No es ultra-rápida ni explosiva, pero su fuerza está en los personajes, más que en los giros violentos constantes. No será la serie del año pero vale mucho la pena por la tensión bien medida.

Is Quebec Culture Minister Mathieu Lacombe even questioning why young Quebecers are increasingly turning to global (mostly English) content, or does he just assume they can’t easily find French content?

I can’t quite put it into words, but Trump praising Mamdani on the same day that MTG resigns in opposition to “big Tech, big Pharma, the war complex and big donors” feels like a harbinger of realignment.

There is a political earthquake trembling beneath the surface waiting to break through.
