Compare this to how postmasters were treated....

And maybe don't be surprised to see more calls for high profile league games to be played in the US?

I look at it like this: Did any Robin Hood film accurately portray events of the time? No. Did it enthuse thousands of young people to read history books, visit our castles, towns and historic places and learn the facts? Yes, I think maybe they did. Perhaps K&C can inspire the current generation?

They've let the far right genies out of their bottles. Lager bottles presumably. Good luck with their new world order, because most of them seem to be as thick as mince.

Well, if you say so but......

His very own Hall of Mirrors perhaps?
August 1, 2025 at 4:58 AM
Exactly. And let's never forget that well used brexity phrase 'I voted for Brexit, but I'm not a racist'. No, of course you're not a racist, but you were happy to stand side by side with all the racists and think that it was ok.
July 27, 2025 at 5:45 AM
I think you'll find that's 'trumped'.
May 25, 2025 at 7:09 PM
When the inevitable flooding happens it will see a mass migration of Lincolnshire Reformers to other parts of the UK. Presumably in dinghies.
May 25, 2025 at 9:39 AM
The vote was in 2016. Let's not forget they've had all that time (and the years prior to the vote) and the majority in Parliament to sort out their 'perfect' Brexit. No excuses - they didn't or couldn't do it. So maybe they need to sit down and shut tf up.

They're trying too hard to attract the red wall back to the fold. Also, they're trying to fix the economy overnight. It can't be done. 14 years of Tory neglect will take years to get back on a level footing, at least two Parliaments.

The US/UK trade agreement is exactly what you get when you leave a strong trading block like the EU. If you voted Brexit and aren't happy, tough.
May 10, 2025 at 9:17 PM
This was an inevitable consequence of leaving the EU. They were warned. They wouldn't listen. So here we are.
May 10, 2025 at 9:57 AM
Let's hope not. Have a good one.
May 8, 2025 at 4:03 PM
No. But I just think this has all been just too conveniently easy to get a deal, and it genuinely makes me wonder what we've had to give up. And the sycophancy is nauseating.
May 8, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Why do I feel like they've just sold our souls...?
May 8, 2025 at 3:21 PM
BBC Sounds Gangster series is fascinating - not strictly a book podcast but hugely interesting.

I'm not Catholic. It's offensive.
May 3, 2025 at 10:30 AM
They'll be migrating en masse, presumably in rubber dinghies. I'm not sure England is prepared to accept this 'invasion' ; )
May 3, 2025 at 7:05 AM
If he thinks British people will allow Trumpian type purges of organisations I'd expect/hope for some serious push-back.
May 3, 2025 at 6:49 AM
And religion is just indoctrination.

He also mistakes monetary value for humanitarian value. It's not always about the bottom line. Sometimes, it's about a person's value to society.
April 13, 2025 at 6:14 PM
They really don't write songs like that now. Timeless.
