It's after times. It's existential—rule of law, equal rights, health care access, climate, nuclear arms control. Can we change fast enough?

The duct blaster is in the house! Our house!
Today saw a preliminary tightness test ahead of the compliance test—of all-new ducts for a new heat pump.
Shorter, tighter, & better insulated duct runs is helping down-size from 3 tons to 2 tons of AC.
Thank you @berkeleylab.lbl.gov

Today ~5 kg of R-22 (AFAIK the original charge) was recovered during the removal of our 1999 AC—making way for a new heat pump.
The previous 1970 AC had a 50A breaker. The 3-ton 1999 AC had a 30A breaker for a 20+A load. The new 2-ton unit will have a 20A breaker for a ~14A load.
