Do they really think teachers aren't smart enough to answer their questions "correctly"? It doesn't take very many brain cells to impersonate maga.

He was massively outspent and still outperformed Harris by a significant margin in Ohio. Without Trump on the ballot and with independents angry with Trump, he can do this.

I'm very happy to hear you're running! I'm Ohio native and still have family there. They're not very politically active, but they love you.

Mail-in voting saved my right to vote when I was undergoing chemo. I was immunocompromised and unable to stand for 2 minutes. But I was able to fill out my ballot in bursts when I was feeling up to it and dropped it off on my way to treatment. Without that, I could not have voted.

Yes, at risk from the assholes who enjoy doing Trump's bidding. I believe most ICE agents (all new ones) like R policies, but DC is a wild mix of agencies, many of whom were forced into this role. Surely some are thinking, "It's just a month, so how can I help people in this role I'm stuck in?"

Preparing to be piled with hate for saying this: If you listen to the tone of the guy who gave that warning, it's not clear that he's being an ass. He could be warning people, encouraging them to spread the word so they won't be detained. "Careful, DT is throwing a tantrum and you're at risk."

Fight like hell in the primaries for the candidates you feel would be best. If they lose, suck it up and fight just as hard for the D who won. At this point, I'd vote for any random moron not wearing a maga hat over a random R.

Ban gerrymandering. Ban former members of congress from becoming lobbyists. Make DC a state. And if we want to go very big, overturn Citizens United to get big money out of politics and toss the electoral college in favor of national popular vote.

I realize my sense of humor is completely misplaced here, but I still can't help but see humor in a man who goes by "big balls" getting beaten up by a couple unarmed teenage girls. That name seems a little misplaced now, doesn't it?

Sorry about your back. I get those, too. Try asprin. It won't cut through the pain, but it helps more than the other options. Hopefully it'll be on the mend in 3 days.

Imo, the homeless part of this whole DC thing is not getting enough attention. It's not his first attack on the homeless. Where, exactly, are they supposed to go? Is this his next target group? I keep thinking "first he came for the immigrants...then he came for the homeless..."

If we can manage to get a trifecta again, we can pass a law to ban gerrymandering nationwide. Rs stomped all over the reconciliation rules to get the tax cuts in the BBB through. We can do the same for voting reforms.

Religion has been used for millenia to keep the masses in line. Pray & god will help. That's not the job of the gov't. If you live in poverty on Earth, just pray and stay in line then you get heaven, so all good. I'd bet few of them have any faith or they'd fear those crosses they wear would ignite.

Perhaps under the 10 commandments, they also need to post that scripture about letting he who is without sin cast the first stone? Clearly they can only remember things that are posted everywhere and have no personal moral compass.
August 6, 2025 at 1:27 AM
So her argument is that we need the 10 commandments plastered everywhere or else we'll (she'll) forget them and, given that we no morals independent of them, will be unable to contain our urge to break them. Preschools where nobody can read yet must be a bloodbath!

Urban people will have the fewest options. At least hunting, fishing and gardening are options for rural people.

Do you remember reading Little House on the Prairie, when the kids got a piece of fruit for Christmas? ...
