I know I'm late but I've also seen the game genre be described as classic RPG (on steam) and I think it gets across the certain types of gameplay you'd see in a jrpg that doesn't necessarily mean RPG from Japan. But I will say that it doesn't factor in "jrpgs" that aren't turn based or kind of trnbs
