What Jew-Hatred Does ANTIJUDAISM is an ideology that frames Judaism as spiritually false, obsolete, or cursed, and a process by which Jewish religious life is delegitimized, restricted, and periodically subjected to coercion or violence. As a process, antijudaism operates through theological supersessionism: Jews are tolerated only insofar as they are subordinated, converted, or rendered marginal, with eruptions of violence occurring when their continued presence is perceived as defiant or destabilizing. ANTISEMITISM (including Nazism) is an ideology that constructs Jews as a biologically or racially corrupting force —parasitic, conspiratorial, and inherently subversive—and a process that translates these fantasies into social exclusion, legal discrimination, and ultimately physical elimination. As a process, antisemitism moves from libel to stigma to state- sanctioned violence, culminating in expulsion, pogroms, or genocide, with Nazism representing its most systematic and industrialized expression. ANTIZIONISM is an ideology that recodes Jews as hyperwhite, foreign, colonial aggressors whose collective self-determination is portrayed as uniquely illegitimate and violent, and a process through which Jewish political existence is isolated, demonized, and dismantled. As a process, antizionism functions by circulating libels, institutionalizing exclusion, purging Jews from public life as “Zionists,” and legitimating violence against Jews locally and globally as moral or emancipatory action.

Israel's response to Hamas, a genocidal organization that deliberately targets civilians and uses its own population as human shields, would be justified under international law regardless of who is prime minister. It is not “Netanyahu’s war.” It is the state’s obligation to defend its citizens, an obligation rooted in sovereignty, not personality. Reducing the issue to Netanyahu is a rhetorical move to delegitimize Israel’s right to self-defense by recasting it as a partisan or ideological crime. Similarly, the question of how to respond to escalating antisemitism in universities, especially when it involves the explicit exclusion of Jews and "Zionists," should not hinge on whether Trump or Biden is president.
