Here and there doing this and that.
And once you are incorrectly flagged you are going to have all sorts of problems. Detained at airports etc... Worry not as I'm sure that correcting the data will be as easy as correcting a wrong entry on your credit report... Oh not that easy at all then !

Perhaps Hydrogen isn't really the best fuel for buses ? What's the benefit over Electric buses ?

They can.

Whole home ventilation systems or PIV plus extract fans with run on timers in kitchens and bathrooms can help. Xiaomi sell very cheap but reasonably accurate Bluetooth humidity sensors which can help understand the levels of moisture.

I have the washer and dryer in a large cupboard with a Bluetooth temp and humidity sensor. So have measured the effect.

Streating: Nothing says " I can beat the Reform challenge" like switching constituency because you can't beat the Reform challenge.

Good to see this ambition. Slight worry that the current thinking is around extending the 50 year old technology we have already. Very Light Rail Technology being developed in Coventry could allow cheaper and more rapid roll out.

Good news. Air to Air is a really useful technology. But... 1. What work is being done on ensuring the quality and business practices of installers. 2. Simplifying FGas regulations to increase the number of competent electricians and plumbers who available to install.

Renault of France seems to be doing well with new Electric car models at a price point that competes with China. German manufacturers less so.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking the schemes to spend this levy are a very inefficient way of achieving what needs to be achieved. Feels like we need some new ideas in this are rather than cuts.

My anecdotal experience of government schemes is that I have struggled to get anyone to quote me for loft insulation once they realised I was not eligible for any government help. Also an elderly relative who had a boiler replacement on a scheme at a cost of 2 X the market rate.
November 5, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Leo Do you know of any data on how effective the various insulation schemes funded by this have been ? A £ per ton of Co2.

The rules focus on small scale low risk transactions and bring inconvenience and wasted time to many but seemingly fail to deter the major criminal players.

I'm not arguing what is right or wrong. I'm arguing that you don't get to choose of you don't get elected.
November 4, 2025 at 8:57 AM
1.Pensioner vote. 2.Not enough young people bother.3. You can't fix anything if the other side get elected.4 Reform are already proposing reduced living wage for young people.

Better to mandate a central online and open source pricing and availability matrix so your car satnav can navigate you to your destination via the lowest cost chargers. This is better than making you join many subscription schemes.
November 4, 2025 at 8:47 AM
Net effect is taxing pensioners more. They are the ones who vote and are still smarting from the winter fuel. This won't work.

Less Syn Flood. More traditional Sink flood ?

Failure to have a licence when required when renting a property carries a civil penalty of £30,000 plus a potential unlimited fine. Which ridiculously high.
October 30, 2025 at 9:09 AM
Life is so complicated these days. Mistakes are inevitable. What we probably need is a reduction in government and council administrative complexity. Also a new class of minor misdemeanor law breaking distinct from criminal.
