I served in West Germany in the 80's in the 4th Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group, which was at that time part of a US Division. It pains me to say that I cannot trust the US and feel Canada need to safeguard our sovereignty from our southern neighbour. 🇨🇦

I hope we are learning from the American experience. When a tyrant tells you they are going to be a Dictator, believe them. I think Canada is seeing past the lies of the “common sense revolution” and can now understand the dark motives behind the populist rhetoric.

It’s a sad day to see allies opposed. I hope America is strong enough to retain a truly democratic system of government. We all have a lot at stake. 🇨🇦🇺🇸
