Nice writing. Have you not booked your flight and hotel to Hungary on May 30th yet?!

So true, this season and last the European nights and midweek cup games have been a very different, more positive crowd (that is much more up for singing too)

A ball boy steals Danso's long throw towel, making us take the throw ins faster and be more effective

Reactions to Connor Gallagher might be interesting, as they have been mixed. If you want to avoid the football

Used to be RBs, didn't we have a back 4 of RBs once?

Unless we get a midfielder (or 2) that is adept at forward passing? (haven't had a chance to listen yet so you may have mentioned this)

Completely agree. Feels like a lot on social media are nearly willing us to lose for their take to be proved right about him. We are missing certain key player profiles, have key injuries, and have had a porous defence for several years now, and with no Levy to blame it's all on TF

All that's missing is a brown envelope from Paratici to Paratici

The pre VAR offside rule used to say 'if you are level you are onside' and not 'gaining an advantage' by being ahead of the defender. But VAR makes it about millimeters, which I don't believe is in the spirit of what the original offside rule was designed for

Exactly, also does that stat show that we scored 2 goals that were marginally offside (from open play) and hit the inside of the post (from open play), while on the other side did Vic even need to make a save?

Maybe we are trying to walk before we can run? We lost home and away to Palace last season, I will happily take a W this season
December 28, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Were we much better last season when we went there in the 1st half of the season and lost 1-0? Also on the open play thing, we did score 2 goals that were marginally offside and hit the post (did Vic even make a save?). Not saying our play was good, but if you can't enjoy a win what's the point?
December 28, 2025 at 8:34 PM
Also compared to losing twice to Palace last season, I'll happily take a win today

Thanks, and yes, was in the queue for the tills at the club shop, great impulse buy!

I really enjoyed the episode about how fans deal with defeat, very well put together and great arguments. Feels like this will be a good build on that. I haven't listened yet, but I avoided all podcasts and most social media last week (following forest) but will be lapping it all up this week

Loved it. But 2 really negative lads behind me (south stand) who kept calling our players shit... Funniest bit was when Xavi lost the ball and one of the shouted out 'you twat!' at him, only for him to recover and go on and score. I gave some proper side eye. They didn't deserve to celebrate

It's been a very different crowd going to the European nights both last season and this: I rarely recognise anyone standing around me in the South Stand. BUT, the Euro nights crowd is way more positive+willing to sing and get behind the team, so will be much better vibes for Son. He knew!
December 3, 2025 at 9:12 PM
I was there! Weren't we the only club in the whole world to stop Man Utd winning a competition that season, as they won the 3 others that they competed for (the famous treble). Also I recall some chanting about Ryan Giggs and Dani Behr that are best not repeated!
December 2, 2025 at 11:09 AM
To my left and to my right in the south stand fights were close to breaking out with fans arguing over booing your own team. TBH, the European games this season and last have been much better atmospheres as it's a much younger crowd that comes that want to sing a lot more

It's amazing that there are 'fans' that think it's more important that they get to voice their frustrations than to get behind our players to help them win....

It doesn't actually matter who the manager is at this point. We tried front foot football last season, this season more defensive... The common denominator is that our squad is way off the top teams. It makes no difference who's in charge, we've tried it all, we need a competitive squad
