This week, we discussed a speedy outfielder John Cangelosi! Cangelosi stole 50 as a White Sox rookie, and later played for multiple teams under Jim Leyland, winning a ring for the 1997 Marlins. He had a career .370 OBP, showing a great eye.

We all remember where we were when famous Cubs flamethrower Nolan Ryan faced Will Clark in the 1989 NLCS.

Born November 21, 1960, today is Mark Eichhorn's 65th birthday!
Eichhorn nearly won 1986 AL ERA title with a 1.72 ERA in 157 innings... 5 innings short of qualification. His 1986 is the 3rd best relief WAR season at 7.3!

We talked about an Atlanta Opening Day legend...Rick "Don't call me Gustav" Mahler! Rick followed his brother Mickey to the Atlanta system as an extra arm. He ended up pitching more than a decade and on opening days went 4-0 with a 0.92 ERA!

This week, the most unlikely jeans models in the 1988 Topps set...it's Rick Cerone! A New Jersey guy, Rick filled the Yankees catcher spot after Thurman Munson's tragic death. In 1980 he was 7th in AL MVP, recorded a song, and modeled jeans!

Bill was the #2 overall pick in the 1984 draft by the Mariners. In 1992-93 he went a combined 31-12 with a 146 ERA+. He later started the first game at Coors Field for the Rockies.

This week, a career Padre and then one of the best 3B coaches int he game...Tim Flannery! Flan Man was a utility guy for the 84 NL Champs and won 3 titles with the Giants as a coach. He now plays music and seems like the best dude.
