I read this action as partly because he doesn't care about this event and didn't listen to any prep his staff may have given him about what was supposed to happen. And he can't give a crap enough to be genuinely interested in anyone or anything besides himself. So he wanders like an idiot.

His message is borderline incoherent rambling, but he thinks he's the intelligent one. I feel so sorry for his girlfriend, who has spent two years with a man who secretly thinks she's stupid. Because he does think she's stupid, whether or not he tries to pretend he thinks she's "book smart."

The name-calling is so awful. We teach our children it's wrong to call someone "stupid" and here's the nation's supposed leader saying it, and "sleazeball" and "dope." It's disgusting. I miss diplomatic, intelligent leadership.

In about the fourth grade I read a short story about some pioneers in the woods and there were creatures that were totally flat that could hide against the tree bark. They had a triangle shaped sharp tooth to kill the settlers. I have searched for it but still don't know what it was. It haunted me.
