Huge fan of Trunk Records, and Jonny is one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet. I’ve been a fan since the late 90s, and have obsessively bought all the records and a ridiculous amount of tee shirts. Jonny is a national treasure. Great interview Bob, thanks a million for posting it up!

I still have an invoice from an eBay seller inside an orig press 60s LP that I bought in 2001 from the states. $4 for the postage. The postage hikes over the last 10 years from the US for records is insane.

Holy crap!! Fantastic find!

Thanks a million for this Paul!

Yip it’s a belter! Sounds like the other Papas and Mamas singing on it as well(to my ears at least!).

Aw class tune Nick, nice one!

And Hinterland…my god, it must be over 35 years since I last heard ‘Desert Boots’, but I must’ve played it about 50 times in the last few days. Amazing song, brings back such good memories for me from the early 90s. Thanks a million for all of this Paul, looking forward to the next eps.

The heat truely is murderous at the moment Paul! Fantastic episode on Cypress, Mine! I’ve been spending the last few weeks delving into the podcast on my half hour walk to work each morning, and they’re brilliant. Some bands I know, others I don’t but each one is chock full of great insights! Class!

The St Vitus Dance album ‘Love Me Love My Dogma’ is fantastic. Noel Burke was a great singer and wrote some cracking songs.

Another one for Lennon. Always sounded like JL to me, and I was a bit perplexed when I heard about this debate a few years back. To my ears, it can only be JL.

Super record. I was introduced to this via the English Weather comp LP by Bob Stanley with the JLT track from this album. What a tune.

That’s a lovely collection Jason, and a few we double up on as well - here’s mine, after a massive clear out about 3 weeks ago. In fairness, the spill over section was taking up most of the middle of the room. Bit tidier now, thankfully…

Also, it sounds quite nice!
May 11, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Well I say fair play to you Jason. Takes guts to admit that!
May 11, 2025 at 5:41 PM
This is fantastic!

That looks lovely!

Love Roger Webb, some great cues on that LP.

Exactly. How many times are you going to play take 2 of ‘Day is Done’ over the released version? It’s lovely to hear it, but at that price it’s a bit of a piss take, for me. Again, if you’re into it knock yourself out.
