If the government is supposed to be religion neutral. And I understand the argument for child sex changes and drugs. But why does the Trump administration align so much with Catholicism? Do we not have a religious influenced state? Is this not a huge issue contradicting the constitution like I think

What are the most common, everyone should agree on, and biggest “political issues” that we should and do agree on, but the government, news, and disinformation isolated groups against each other?

Am I ignorant for believing that most Americans are in the middle ground of politics and can engaged in a political discussion to unify the nation which would result in pushing policies that most Americans support?
Financially, I feel like all people want the same thing, so why no R+D policies?
