Wait till Trump finds out how the multiplier effect of tariffs really work. Tariffs cement increased prices for the tariffed goods AND, where applicable, prices of the locally produced equivalent.
The supply/retail chains are not walking back on windfall profits now that sourcing will be cheaper.
