The problem with American politics is that is built on the old Roman ‘Patronage’ system. That’s all they know regardless of material conditions. You could Nuke Israel and these ghouls would still email and ask if their AIPAC conference invite was on its way.

Now imagine a leftist coming onto the BBC to suggest that maybe a loss making factory be converted to a non profit so they can keep it open 20 years longer. we only get centre right views and far right views. Nothing has value unless it turns a profit. Otherwise shut it down, let the workers rot

The problem with deportation is the inflation effect. If you vanish 650k not only are you moving consumer and cheap labour out the country - you actually create a small industry that will deport people for profit like ICE who become a power onto themselves. Inflation will skyrocket.

Yep. I watch documentaries on Japan and South Korea to see our future and how to prevent it. The crazy thing is the South Korean are very self aware that capitalism and greed are the issue but the system is not allowed to change. Going to Japan was an eye opener.
