I fear the world has become so inextricably fucked that nothing can be done to fix it anymore. It makes me sick to my stomach.

It's not just Trump or Musk. The whole Republican Party is actively dismantling the rule of law to turn the USA into a Russian-style oligarchy. There's no return from this until they all face severe consequences, because if they don't, they'll try again next chance they get.

How can Americans watch Trump burn long-standing alliances left and right and do nothing about it?
How can they be ok with free speech rights being violated to shield Israel from criticism?
Does none of that matter to the American public?

I've never seen a more blatantly intentional own goal than Schumer's vote. But then again, does it really count as own goal if you're controlled opposition?
