The station, the wormhole, and bejor are honestly their own characters and it really helps make the show feel alive on a way that isnt really the same for other trek.

Ds9 is my absolute favorite trek. It feels different enough with how the space station works and the characters and settings feeling more static. Plus it is really cool to see the federation exist in a more beurocratic sense.
