The US can't force Ukraine to give up territory. Not legally, of course, but also not in power terms. The US has become much less crucial for Ukraine's fight because Europe (incl. Ukraine itself) has stepped up. The loss of important intelligence support and of Patriots won't make Ukraine surrender.
