In pointing this out to a friend, they laughed and opined that they were profiting off the exact model that I had described, and I shouldn't be surprised at the response. This never sat well with me but I'll admit that person had a valid point, even if it points to a shitty reality /4 (edited)

Don't fall for rhetoric or #propaganda. Instead of getting that #dopamine hit, ask yourself what the sender of the message stands to gain from your attention. It sucks, but #engagement equals capital. I still believe there's a place in Hell for people who profit from fear & division. /7

Keep extra #meds. Shelf stable #foods, & #arm yourself legally and safely if you are in a place to do so, & if not, take a Stop The Bleed course. The divisions being as deep and real as they are, learn to connect and be a part of a #community. Volunteering is a good place to start. /6

It's likely, but not guaranteed that your #MAGA neighbor doesnt despise you. Same as your #DNC neighbor, especially if you're at least civil. There are deep divisions in the US that are very real, and you should #prepare accordingly. But the likelihood of localized ultraviolece is low, but not 0

The next issue from them that was published was essentially a rehash of telling you why your neighbors all hated you and you should fear them. The same neighbors helped me to plow out my driveway after a historical #snow event on the East Coast that I still see evidence of on my drive to work. /3
