I don’t love the idea of him being our 3C come playoffs, but I think he can play in a similar role as Knies in 2023. Play him on the wing and put him guys with more experience under their belts.

The Rielly-OEL pair has been shaky recently, and Hakanpaa has been rather pedestrian when he’s been in the lineup. Would the Leafs also be in the market for another top four defenceman come the trade deadline? Or is getting a 3C still the number one priority for the team?

Damn, we really have the next Markstrom (Hildeby) and the next Sorokin (Akhtyamov) waiting in the wings. The Leafs for years couldn’t develop Goalies, now suddenly they have multiple guys with High Ceiling potential.

Is there actually any chance that the Leafs re-acquire one of Ryan O’Reilly or Nazem Kadri? Or is that just baseless speculation to stir the pot in Toronto?

Could Morgan Frost in Philadelphia make sense? I doubt he’d cost more than what the Leafs got for Liljegren and he’s fallen out of favour with Torts.
