To hurt someone is inevitable. Avoidance really makes it worse. Everyone deserves compassion. Yes, even those people. You are not uniquely (???) or bad. To believe so a type of obsession. You must rest. It's necessary. You do a favor when accepting help. You can say "no". Value does not lie in productivity. Everyone deserves nice things. (See #4) Value doesn't lie in relationships. Money is only means to an end. You really do need sunlight. Mistakes are allowed Page 3 reads: Step Two: Finding community. Humans are social creatures, and so are you! "Community" is pretty vague on purpose -- even a weekly club for a hobby will suffice. You'll probably see better results with in-person meetups but online can suffice. You will need to engage though. But if you don't like it you can try elsewhere!" Sadie is shown next to @nosferat00n and @Malatruse, who each have horned personas with grey or pitch black skin. They are all smiling. Page 4 reads: "Step Three: That Damn Phone... I hate to say it, I really do but if you can spend some time with yourself without your phone it will help ground you more. Personally I go to the park once a week and have "floor time" where I do a hobby (Zines, cross-stitch, ect.) Journaling is also fun! Get to know yourself/who you want to be!" Extremes such as toxic positivity can be easy to stumble into, and sometimes despair is unavoidable. That being said - everyone needs a different amount of complaining, reassurance, and comfort. I don't let myself get into online fights but I do complain about bad takes with my friends. Complaining about bad things can be effective self-care in moderation. Just be careful!" Beneath the text is a sticker that reads "Try your best!" and a small drawing of a salt canister. Page 6 reads: "Step Five: Keep Trying. Being kind to yourself is hard. We live in a world where companies profit off of self-loathing, and where joy and fulfillment are hard to find. I'm proud of you for pursuing it anyways. Work zine for funsies~
Pages 1&2. Page 1 reads: I want to sit in the warmth of the sun/and watch the bugs flit about in the non-native grass.
