Walmart does this too , in a way, the yellow is suppose to over lay the original in a vertical position, but they do it like this where their is still a possibility that the original can be scanned at the regular price.

I started a thumb tack art thing at work and one of the other shifts have taken it up too. She said this was a ghost, someone else thought it was a gingerbread figure and I saw a minion when I first looked at it. Lol. I was trying to add a triangle flag to it but ran out of material
