I was skeptical at first. Like we need one more thing to do, but within a week I noticed a change in the students. The program actually follows the research. Seriously, I'm old and am very leary of 'new' miracle programs, but I'm a convert!

As a teacher, this makes me cry. I mainly teach older kids, but have had my share of time in with the littles. Our school now uses UFLI. It is free, unless you want to buy the teacher guide. It has been life changing for the weaker readers. Reading levels have shot through the roof. 1/2

I helped her buy books for the public library, and now continue the book talks at the town's school she started 40 yrs ago. Every book teaches someone something!

This is a super difficult question. I was lucky in that my parents encouraged all reading. (Mom even fought the school library on my behalf when I was 11.) 1/2

2 days ago, I couldn't/wouldn't drive over 60 on the way home. Fields, roads, yard, completely covered in snow. Woke up at 7 this morning it was already 11° and the snow is all gone. I hate this time of year.

We lived in the UK for 5 years. Not having a car was awesome. Trains and busses everywhere. Convenient and cheap!
