This is what happens to the kitchen implements that misbehave. This Zwilling Henkels knife is magnetically attached to my fridge as an example to the rest!
(I jest: it’s my fault, as I used it as a prying tool — to remove the top of a pumpkin — rather than a cutting tool.)

For those following along at home, all of those seeds are in the fridge to roast later, the scraped flesh is headed for compost, and the sketch of the jack-o-lantern is, well, this.

I didn’t purchase this single-purpose (pull the flesh off the rind of an avocado) kitchen tool (I don’t do “single-purpose” tools, except *very* rare bike or car exceptions; this was a gift), but it works a charm for getting the guts out of a pumpkin.
So, I guess, two purposes?
