Lee actually punched him. He believed that John Vernon was to soft in real life to be the kind of guy who could best him. Lee was a real prick apparently. Angie Dickson is actually slapping the shit out of Lee too. Apparently there was some bad blood from a previous project.

I love that movie. From the opening, with Lee walking down the hall with hos heals clacking right to the very last moment. What a great cast too! Carol O'Connor is one of my favorites.
