I’ve already written to my local Labor MP to say I’m disappointed in the mask ban proposal and don’t support it as everybody should have the right to protect themselves whether they’re going about their everyday business or protesting. Doubt I’ll hear anything back though

Could it be a form of cognitive dissonance? They have this perception of themselves that they’re healthy, not vulnerable and good people that wouldn’t harm others and when confronted with information on covid it potentially challenges all those beliefs about themselves.
