I'm not one to make any New Year's resolutions because I feel it only sets me up for failure. Over the years, I have made numerous resolutions, driven by hope and the desire for change, but with each passing year, I've found myself reflecting on the many dirt roads I have traveled. These roads are not just paths on maps; they symbolize the journey of my life, filled with unexpected twists and turns, moments of joy, and times of struggle.

It's three days away to be exact and once again the guy I love has come through for me and had gifted me with a brand-new laptop which I am writing this blog out on at this very moment. My old laptop needed upgraded and still kicks out some great writing, web surfing and streaming. This laptop was picked out and ordered online, and I went to pick it up at my local Best Buy store.

When I returned back to my passion after nearly over a year's hiatus, I was ecstatic with joy. I felt unstoppable in creating pieces of art that got praises and going viral on my social media. I felt like I had created my masterpiece in some of them drawings. I was happy. I bought my first ever action camera that had all the bells and whistles I needed to produce great time lapse videos of my many hours and even days on a single drawing to bring into a five minute to 15-minute video completion.

From as long as I can remember, I have always loved the horror genre. Movies, characters, memorabilia, and haunted houses have filled my life with thrills and chills. I must give my late father credit for my taste in horror, as he loved the horror flicks on television, often introducing me to a world of spine-tingling narratives and iconic monsters. I don't recall my exact age when I became captivated by horror films, but I do remember tuning into Philadelphia channel 48 on Saturday nights while growing up in New Jersey.

The season is about to change and as the changing in seasons brings some; happiness, comfort, peace, family gatherings and vacations, it will also bring war. The war doesn't need to be fought during a specific season change either. There is no gender discrimination to fight in these wars. Your father, your mother, brother, sister, child and grandparents will all fight in this war.

We all believe in it in some form or another. Many, if not all, of us have even been labeled as such by someone close to us, whether it be a family member, a friend, or perhaps even by a complete stranger passing us by on the street. These labels, often carried with a sense of weight, can shape how we view ourselves and how we interact with the world around us.

I thought I would share this particular set of creations I have done throughout the years, as they truly reflect my artistic journey and passion. Among them are my many clock paintings, with one that I self-proclaim as my masterpiece clock that embodies the essence of my artistic vision. Each piece not only serves as a functional timepiece but also represents a moment captured in time, blending creativity with practicality.

I've tried so many different setups to record my drawing and painting videos using various camera phones, as well as my latest, the GoPro action camera. Now that tiny camera is not meant for a GenX like me; I didn't say the entire generation X, I said me. Now that we've cleared that up, let's continue on. I purchased the most budget-friendly camera in the GoPro series, which is the GoPro Hero Black Mini.

Have any of you ever felt this way at some point in life? Now I don't mean a puppy love crush because let's face reality, that love is only for teenagers, not for adults who have been through life, faced challenges, and navigated plenty of love heartaches throughout their journey. I myself have felt this way not just once but a couple of times in my lifetime, each experience coloring my perception of love and longing in profound ways.

Is publishing books still relevant? If you told me that years before the tech world took over and replaced just about everything from physical movie libraries and bookstores, perhaps I would have taken everyone seriously. I mean, it's a tech world now, right? I'm an artist and a blogger, not a writer or author, so it's quite daunting to think about all the changes.

Quite a few had messaged me and even emailed me about my blogs going sideways from writing about art. Hence, this is going to be one of those blogs as you can see just by the title. Allow me to explain again. My blogs are that of myself as an artist in both the social media and the personal world. My drawings and paintings have told many stories about me without the use of words.

As you can see by the enclosed pic of my drawing, this is what the quintessential Saturday morning classic looks like. Now for sure, you can still be a GenX and not recognize such a drawing or know who these iconic subjects are in my artwork. It all depends on your personal taste in Saturday morning cartoons and TV shows during that greatest of all time decade.

It's been a couple days now since I've posted the sketching of my newest piece of art on all my social media platforms. Time is running out and I haven't gotten any interactions for the giveaway in the comments on the drawing post across any of my platforms to enter to win a one-of-a-kind custom art piece, which is sad because I feel art is very therapeutic and brings joy to some people.

I don't think I need a bigger drawing pad for my next piece. Right now, I'm happily using a 9x12 pad and a vibrant blue paper to draw sharks, which happen to be my favorite marine predator and an endless source of inspiration for my artwork. I've always found sharks fascinating, much like I do with dinosaurs and werewolves, creatures that evoke a sense of mystery and wonder.

Where do I start? If you've been following my blogs for a while, you know the beginning, so let's go back to when I started drawing THE NUN. As I usually do when I draw a character or a scene from a movie, I watch that movie again right before I start drawing. This wasn’t any different from when I rewatched Anaconda for my previous charcoal drawing.
