I think it is not the USA which is pro Russia, rather it is the current American administration, which took power in a dubious, russian influenced electoral process.

I've seen that happen to s number of devices, some individual devices amongst a group of the same (i have 6 of those pipe sensors and two show this behaviour 😢)

Seems to be good so far, update frequency is every 5 minutes.. the battery it is using is a CR2 which is bulkier than CR2032.

I bit the bullet and bought one to test - came out at ~£28 shipped. Added it on #homeassistant it was recognised and gives data The device has a pipe clip for 15mm pipes (firmly) attached which I had to break off as I'm measuring 28mm(?) pipes, so I attached using velcro strap. May buy more..thx

If Matter is the way forward, then go with that. I haven't got any Matter components yet.

Just because it is zigbee doesn't mean it plays nice...
It looks like there is an integration to Home Assistant through HACS, but that integrated with their gateway.

And it looks like it requires their own gateway! There has to be a better option.

Yep, giving an indication of the flows around the system - Hot Water feed into the tank, the underfloor heating flow and return temperature, trying to get the instrumentation of things as much as possible to understand the system.
