Hallow Road (2025)

While the last act may be hard for some to swallow, I think this was masterfully done. Tense, anxiety inducing and emotional with 2 fantastic performances from Rosamund Pike and Matthew Rhys.

Vincent Must Die (2025)

The movie is solid, even if the switch to full pandemic horror in the last act doesn't quite match what came before, the biggest detractor is the horrible AI dubbing which robs the emotional scenes of any impact.

Shelby Oaks (2025)

This is a really frustrating movie because the first half is great, tense, and sets up a solid mystery but the second half loses a lot of the tension and intrigue that was built up and ends up racing towards a predictable and weak climax and ending.

V/H/S/Halloween (2025)

While it starts out a bit rough and VHS is still having trouble making a solid wraparound segment, the last few shorts are great with Kidprint in particular being one of the strongest shorts since Safe Haven.

Black Phone 2 (2025)

Why is this movie SOOO boring! It takes most of what Black Phone did right and gets rid of it, with the exception of Madeline McGraw and Mason Thames who remain engaging leads, its just a shame the story and script fail to engage as strongly.

Good Boy (2025)

Indy for best actor at the oscars this year, I'm not joking! Its creepy, it's tense, it has a lot of heart. While the story might have been better suited for a short, Indy makes this compelling from beginning to end!

Bone Lake (2025)

A very wild, fun, and twisty time. So glad I went into this blind, cause this was not at all what I was expecting! Hollywood please cast Andrea Nechita in more things, she shines here!

The Strangers: Chapter 2
Not quite the disaster that Chapter 1 was, even if it barely feels like we've gone anywhere, it tries to be a survival thriller but it lacks the energy to succeed at it. Madelaine Petsch is great though and is deserving of a much smarter script.

Popeye The Slayer Man (2025)

It's ok as a dumb slasher at times but there's too many scenes of characters just walking around talking and it drags the pacing down majorly. The 2nd act gets a little better when Popeye starts offing the characters in grisly fashion.

Him (2025)

It's kinda just fine, it has good elements but those elements never really come together, which is a shame because Marlon Wayans, Tyriq Withers, and Julia Fox are so damn good in this. It's visually interesting but the script just struggles to match.

The Jester 2 (2025)

A big improvement over the first, with some very solid kills and effects. It utilizes The Jester much better and gives him a solid foil in Kaitlyn Trentham's Max, who makes for a compelling protagonist. The pacing is also much stronger and faster despite being a bit longer.

The Jester (2023)

There are very brief moments of fun in an otherwise very boring and dull film that never quite utilizes The Jester in a solid way outside of a couple of moments. Which is a shame because Micheal Sheffield brings some solid personality and physicality to the titular character.

Hell House LLC: Lineage

God I don't understand how low we've sunk, its such a boring dull movie.
The few times they try to scare it just falls flat. I think this series just doesn't work without the found footage aspect. Elizabeth Vermilyea tries her best, but the material does her no favors.

Witchboard (2025)

The plot is a mess and the film is too long but this was so much fun, and unlike the og I was not bored. Madison Iseman as well carries the film well, giving it a better performance than it might deserves.

Witchboard (1986)

There's some fun campy moments and the relationship between Jim and Brandon is suprisingly well handled and gives the film its most emotional moment but the 2nd act drags on for so long and is quite boring.

Weapons (2025)

I'm sorry for anything negative I said about Barbarian cause Zach Cregger is a mad genius. A fun messy mystery is central to a wild, and darkly hilarious film. Julia Garner is truly award worthy, giving a performance thats strong, heartbreaking, and engaging as hell.

The Home (2025)

I don't know I had fun, especially once it turns into a terrifier-esque bloodbath at the end. Pete Davidson is not great but the rest of the cast is having fun and hamming it way up.

The topic is: terrible games that make me nostalgic because I played them as a kid. (This game was legit terrible, but I was so obsessed with the movies that I thought it was 10/10)
