I get loads of these invitations which invite me to submit a paper within the next 3 weeks or less! No serious journal would ever do that.

Call me picky, but isn't the phrase 'leader of the free world' somewhat of an oxymoron? Out here in the free world we do not recognise this leader!

In the free world we elect representatives, and hold them to account when they are not up to the job.

Nothing tells me that the Annals of Urology & Nephrology is a serious scientific 🧪 journal rather than a predatory journal more than writing to me with a subject heading i?n?t?e?r?s?p?e?r?s?e?d w?i?t?h? i?r?r?e?l?e?v?a?n?t? q?u?e?s?t?i?o?n? m?a?r?k?s?.

Beautiful. Thank you.

It did.

But, …

If they need to cut costs, they could spend less on all those pointless BBC shows with people competing to dance or cook or lie etc- shows which the BBC shamelessly promotes by finding excuses to feature them on news and current affairs programmes at any excuse.
I was shocked to learn that the BBC is cutting its 30 min radio show 🧪 'Science in Action' @peaseroland.bsky.social after next week's episode. But at least the schedulers think it is continuing…

Waiting for my Amazon delivery - which today seems to be being delivered by one of their new quantum trucks powered by the Adams infinite improbability drive.
