The stop order was revoked and no matter how anyone justifies it, a lot of regular people are feeling the same thing tonight: 💔 “The rules aren’t the same for everyone.” 💔 “Influence moves the system faster than fairness ever does.” 💔 “People like us fight for every inch… others walk through open doors.” I am NOT accusing anyone of wrongdoing. I am NOT saying anyone broke the law. But I am speaking the truth of what people in our community are whispering to each other: The powerful always seem to land on their feet. Ordinary families always carry the weight. And here is the hardest part to say out loud… We helped create this. When we vote based only on party labels… When we choose based on religion, not merit… When we follow political loyalty instead of leadership quality… We get a system that doesn’t protect us. We get leaders who don’t hear us. We get decisions that leave us heartbroken. Tonight, many people in Fort McMurray feel abandoned by the very institutions that were supposed to protect them. But heartbreak is not the end it’s a turning point. If we want better, we must vote better. If we want fairness, we must demand fairness. If we want change, we must be the change. The powerful may have won today… but the people can still win tomorrow — if we stand together.
