This blog post is based on a paper presented at the workshop 'Trace on Trace. Inter- and Transdisciplinary Perspectives', organised by the focus area 'Materiality between Past and Future' at the Center for Theories in Historical Research and convened by Agnes Piekacz in November 2024.
