If you were wondering how much money California schools get from the US Department of Education and for what, @zstavely.bsky.social and I spent the past week putting together a partial list. And I’m still on it, so expect more detail on what federal money pays for in schools soon.
It is unclear which federal funding could be targeted if schools don’t abolish diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, but these are some of the largest K-12 programs funded by the federal government.
